AMNA SALAM

I'm currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for the Study of Democratic Institutions at Vanderbilt University. In fall 2024, I will be joining the Department of Political Science at the University of California San Diego as an assistant professor. I received a PhD in political science from the University of Rochester in 2023.

Broadly, I am interested in American political institutions and formal theory. My research centers on strategic behavior in the legal system, and how various actors in the judiciary work to advance their ideological interests.
